Good Morning! I hope today brings you a day filled with summer fun and sunshine! Sunbathing Granny here is working on her tan lines, hee hee! I just LOVE this image ~ and she is just one of the new additions to the "sporty Grannies" as I lovingly call them :)
I wanted the papers to match the fun-ness of this great image so I chose ones with color and brightness, paper-piecing her bathing suit with the same backdrop paper. She was so easy to color up and absolutely versatile! That's one of the best things about Heather's images - you can use them interchangably from birthdays and special occasions to just for fun!

And, on a personal note, I wanted to take this time to post a very special farewell message. As you read in yesterday's Monday post, I am taking some time off of regular posting to refocus + regroup my family life and future plans at work. I have been working with Heather and her darling images from her store's opening! Her images have been an integral part of my card making for my own family. In fact, My daughter, now 16, has had a hand-made birthday card using FBD images for the past 3 years! I won't be gone forever though - you will still see FBD images on my blog and in my card creations and you might even see me stop in on some future hops! ;) To the current DT team, you are a burst of brightness and creativity! Thank you, Heather, for the chance you have given me to work with you and learn so much from a truly generous, superbly sweet and talented lady! You have a beautiful soul and I'm so blessed to have had this opportunity!! :*)

Did you hear me squeal when I saw this card? I did just that and a happy dance. I love that you call her sporty Granny :D and these colors are just so bright, happy and so fun.
ReplyDeleteNow, I told you I would be broken to tears just SEEING your last post. My heart is filled with love and happiness that you are my friend. All of the wonderful things and times we have shared, the times we have prayed, the times we have cried, the times we have laughed and just knowing NO MATTER WHAT you were there for me and know I am here for you. God brought you into my life at the perfect time and his plan unfolded. He taught me many things through your friendship and taught me the value of a true friend. You have been amazing to me on a personal level as well as a HUGE part of FBD. It all started with BBB what seems so long ago... and now turned into this. We have come a long way, and you have been such a special part of it all.
Thank you for being you my sweet Kelly girl. Thank you for your unfailing love and friendship and for your uplifting personality.
May God bless you and your family as you look to refocus and regroup things. I am always here for you and I know you know that. This is not a goodbye...

How, after reading Heather's heartfelt comments, can I say anything appropriate. I was going to mention some smart-alec comment about your "Tan-talizing" title, but now, I'm just a bundle of MUSH!!

And your combination of colors, papers, layouts and designs is truly an inspiration! I refer to your card often for ideas and have learned so much, just from watching!
I will miss you and I KNOW you can't stay gone long... so, I'll see you when you get back!! (-:
