Hello Challenge Lovers!

What a crazy couple of weeks we have all had. I for one am ready for hurricane season to be over! That last one worried me! We did not suffer much damage around here. We only lost power for a few hours and had some heavy wind and rain but nothing too serious. I hope that you can all say the same.

Last week we were able to see all of your GORGEOUS embossed creations, share lots of AMAZING DT cards as well as feature some wonderful cards found in blog land. We are always on the lookout for FBD Cards to feature, so if you want a chance, be sure to ink up those FBD images!!! :)

This card is PERFECT for me to post today. Last week we celebrated my son's 7th birthday and this week (tomorrow in fact) we will celebrate my mom's birthday :)

I really can't tell her how much I have appreciated and loved her being a part of this busy and wonderful month with us. She has been an absolute delight to create and chat with. Have you Embossed it yet?

So sorry, Mr. Blogger didn't post while I was getting my new computer set up today.....

Have you made your 'Embossed' card or project for this weeks challenge here on Fresh Brewed Designs? 

I didn't think so..............Best be getting on it.

For a little encouragement or inspiration, I have mine ready to show!

This is a Fresh Brewed cup of love, LOL.  The main image is called "Lotta Love".  The little

coffee cups are actually the backer stamp image that came with some rubber I won from FBD.

To meet the challenge requirement - 'Embossing' - the dark brown layer was embossed

with a CuttleBug embossing folder 'bricks' (that I am currently in love with!) and the

band around the coffee cup is a piece of kraft paper run through my crimper and then

lightly inked for more dimension.

Now, go get out your embossing folders or your powder and heat gun and get busy!

To those on the East coast, I hope that everyone is ok after the earthquake and please be

careful and safe to those in the path of the coming hurricane.

Just a quick ramble on this Thursday...some craziness this week. Felt my first earthquake on Tuesday! It was centered in the middle of Virginia and the floor shook a little bit all the way here in Pittsburgh. I've also been keeping a watchful eye on Hurricane Irene - we vacation every year in the Outerbanks so hopefully not much damage will occur. Prayers going out for your safety if you are in it's path.

It's a Terrific Tuesday!

Good morning, all our Fresh Brewed fans and friends!
The sun is shining, the sky is blue and it's going to be a beautiful day!

I'm one of the mommies that Heather mentioned yesterday,
sending my little guys off to school in two days!

But we're counting the days and can't wait to get started!

Speaking of getting started, if you haven't posted your "White on White PLUS one" card

School starts here today and many moms I know are sending their little ones off for the first time.
There have been lots of cute little pictures posted as well as sad mommies writing about their little ones growing up.  I Also know some who are preparing to send their little ones off to college. It is crazy how time flies and our babies grow up. The card I am sharing with you really has nothing to do with any of this, but it is what I thought of when I read the sentiment. Miss You! I know there are lots of words and thoughts of 'Mommy's going to miss you!' when their big and little babies are dropped off. Consider this sortof a HUG to you moms out there .. you know who you are :)

Our August Guest Designer, Vanessa at My Paper Creations, has created this BEAUTIFUL card using the FBD rubber stamp Love Mug. This was one of the first ever released FBD stamps. I LOVE the bingo paper and the soft ribbon and paper layers. The REAL napkin adds such a fun touch of texture~

Just Relax!!!

Hello everyone.

I hope you are all having a relaxing Saturday! I am busy today with my sons little birthday party. I still can not believe he is 7 years old!!! I will  also be spending time getting ready for our first week of school, dance, and the start of flag football. It all starts Monday!!! *sigh* ... all of this leads up to the card I am sharing with you today. Our Guest Designer for August really hit the nail on the head with this card!!! Vanessa knew somewhere that today this is what I would be needing. A nice quiet relaxing hot bath... with coffee!! :)

Isn't this card BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the green wall and the fun flooring. It looks like a very happy and pretty place to sneak away for some peace and quiet relaxation time.

Sunbathing on a Friday

I'm out sunbathing and camping on the river again this week.  Counting on Mr. Blogger to post this when it is due!

In honor of sunbathing, I decided to do a project using 'Sunbathing  Beach Babe'.  She is just too cute.  Looks so relaxed.......I used the image on a gift bag that I made to hold a little trinket for a birthday gift.

Beach babe's swimsuit is paper pieced and she is layered on the gift bag.

Today's Ramblings...

Actually the ramblings might turn into mumbling as I'm not working on a lot of sleep here! Anyway, happy Thursday to you from us here at Fresh Brewed Challenges. I'm showing off two cards I made for this week's fun, fun, fun challenge - White on white plus 1 color. I used the same image for both cards, Bundled Baby Plain. I colored these up while on vacation when I needed to get out of the sun for a little while. One in yellow...

September is going to be a super fun month. Not only is Fresh Brewed Designs having a rubber release and blog hop on the 8th, but we are also having a Breast Cancer Awareness blog hop September 22nd. So much planned, better mark it all on your calendar!

We're Getting SPICY This Weekend!!!

Finally having some warm weather over here on the Oregon coast!  (70's, don't get to excited!)

Happy Thursday!! The weekend is very near, what do you have planned? We bought some furniture at Ikea for our oldest son that needs put together, so that's what will take up most of our weekend!!
