I can't believe how quickly this week has flown by!

Today is the day we get to share something special with you. 

Our lovely guest designer for October has done it again! She has created the most sweet and lovely little card for us to ooooh and ahhhh over. This one is a  little sad though because it will be our last from Dani. 

Dani, you have been such  a sweetheart and I appreciate your being a part of FBD with us this month.

These papers and colors are so beautiful! I love the little touch of bling and hte doodled stitching lines.

10-If you were deserted on an island with nothing but stamping supplies, which of your supplies do you have enough of to make yourself an outfit with? ((Would you wear a button ball gown? LOL))

Pattern Paper…. I have an entire room full of beautiful paper that I hate to cut!  What is wrong with me???? paper is MADE to be cut!  ;o)

Frantic Friday......Layouts!?

I decided that it was time that everyone in FBD land got to see that Heather's wonderful art wasn't just for cards!  Her sentiments work wonderfully on scrapbook layouts!

I used the Fresh Brewed Designs sentiment "Warm's my heart" from the FBD store here.

I have used this sentiment on cards but this is the first time on a layout.  I liked it so much, I did a second layout!    The first one is of my oldest son and his SO when they flew to Oregon in January. 

This is such a romantic photograph. 

This second layout is my niece Bethany and her son Brayden.  Isn't this just too cute!

Both of these layouts were created digitally (my first ones!)  Come on by my blog,

Playing with Paper for more information on these and the many other projects that I have done using Heather's beautiful art from Fresh Brewed Designs. 

I will also be blogging about the digital scrapbooking program that I used to create these layouts.

Spooky Sweets

You know fall is upon us when Starbucks brings out their pumpkin spice latte...and boy is it yummy!!! I try to be good and have it with non-fat milk and no whipped cream but I think one of these days, very soon, I'm gonna get the works!! It is definitely a yummy treat. Our challenge this week is "Spooky Sweets," so how was I going to turn a pumpkin latte into something spooky?? By adding some ghosty paper, bat brads, and googly eyes, that's how!!!! Check out this fabulous digital stamp Heather created called Pumpkin Latte, it's so fun!! And while you're there, check out ALL the wonderful stamps, both digital and rubber.

Tell Me Tell Me Tuesday

Shhhhhh...

There is a secret going around and Mr. Tom knows all  about it. 

He has been hanging out and waiting for the chance to spill the beans. I was able to have a little talk with him and asked him to please wait until next Tuesday to share the news.. 

so he (not so willingly - until I started eating stuffing and gravy- agreed)

We have a lot of fun things planned for NOVEMBER! 

It is going to be a fun month ESPECIALLY FOR OUR CUSTOMERS!

So get your FBD GOODIES ready to stamp and ready to create with, because a prepared crafter is ... well, prepared :D  ... and those are all of the hints you are getting from me today :D hehehe!!!

No really, he was! My sweet sweet friend, Heather, is so super talented. 

When I first started making cards (and I was TERRIBLE!!!) I always looked up to her and admired her so. 

I would think to myself and sometimes say "I want to be like you when I grow up" hehehe!

Still not quite there, but she has motivated me to try harder and do things I never would before.

 I hope everyones having a lovely start to their weekends

We are headed off in this super cold (well, 40's) weather to go and watch our sons flag football game.

I WILL be packing extra coffee!!! :D

If you see something you like – try it!  don’t be afraid of new techniques or products, you can’t really mess anything up, because not only are there 2 sides to every piece of paper, there are more ways to use your mistakes than you think!

 

9-What is your favorite color combination?

Depends on the card…. lately, I want to put Chocolate Chip paper on everything… it goes with all other colors – the new black for me!  I really like brown, kraft and ivory, with a splash of a color….

Fantastic Friday!

So, this weeks challenge here on Fresh Brewed Designs is 'Black, Orange and Purple".  Great halloween colors!  I am SO over halloween.  Too many halloween cards this year!  LOL

I emailed Heather and asked for something I could play with that definitely wasn't halloween but I could still fit into the challenge.  (It also would have fit last weeks since I played with a 'fancy fold'!)

Let me introduce you to 'Winter Giraffe' from the FBD store.

(sorry for all the pics but is necessary to show the card)

I have decided his name is Geoffry Giraffe.  (no idea where that came from) (I was just reminded that this is the name of the Toys R Us giraffe!  How could I have forgotten!)

Don't you love how he is peeking over the little doors!

Open the doors and there is Geoffry in all his glory.  He is definitely special with his light purple spots.  Gotta love the little orange leg warmers.  The scarf and hat set have colored sparkly fluff on them. 

Lift up the flap with Geoffry on it and there is a place to write your note and and die cut with the sentiment on it!

And.....is this not the perfect sentiment for this wonderful card!

Geoffry is definitely different, LOL!

Anywho..........get out your crafting stuff and join this weeks color challenge.

(I personally challenge you to do it without making a halloween card!)

Just a bit of rambling for today, had some wonderful friends over yesterday and we made Christmas cards. Talk about fun!!! We have a nice collection of flat mailable cards. Today I plan on heading out and buying a new phone...I'll let you know how that goes!!!! Enjoy your Thursday.

Mysterious Monday

Who on this dt got us in the theme of 'naming our days' here in our posts :D hahah! 

I love it!!!

Sometimes I spend more time trying to think of a title than I do on the entire post. 

I wonder if anyone even reads the title :D hehehe! 

I usually can't think of anything witty or creative, so maybe that is why you don't see it :D hehehe!!!

I chose mysterious for today because my card mysteriously opens into a fun fold! 

hahaha!!! I told you I am not creative when it comes to titles :D

I love Copic Markers, but I have to say lately I am getting back to my PrismaColor Pencils with GAMSOL…

 

6-What are five craft items you can’t live without?

Fiskers Trimmer, Tombow adhesive, Memento Ink, distress ink and blending tool

Criss Cross Christmas

Welcome to the Fresh Brewed Blog, where there's always a pot of coffee and creativity brewing. I've gotta say, those cards posted yesterday announcing our new challenge of "Fancy Folds" were absolutely stunning!!! I wanted to show you the one I created today to get you inspired not only for our challenge but also for Christmas!! Once a month I have 3 friends over and we make simple, flat, mailable Christmas cards. I design them, cut out everything, and together we have a really good time. We also have a wonderful supply of cards! They are coming next week so I am in the spirit of the holiday. Looks like this kitty and mouse are too, all cozy and warm as they wait for Santa. This adorable digi from Fresh Brewed Designs is called Cat and Mouse Nap. Being owned by two cats myself I instantly knew this was a must have image.
