Happy Fall

Well, the first day of fall was this weekend...sniff, sniff. Now mind you, I love fall. The crisp cool nights and gorgeous array of colors, but I do hate the thought that winter is now on it's way. I need to learn to live in the moment I guess!!! And for that I decided to use one of my favorite autumn images, Angel Cake Fall Wagon. She reminds me of all the trips to the pumpkin patch we took when the boys were little and coming home with lots to decorate the front porch. Some were turned into grinning jack-o-lanterns while others stayed whole. Ahhhh the memories. I never used one to make a pie, too much work! I'd rather just open a can!!! Well now I've made myself hungry for some pumpkin bread. Hope you enjoy your day and have a "happy fall."

Paint is EVERYWHERE

Good Morning! 

I am a part of a fun OWL THEMED blog hop this weekend and wanted to share one

of my projects with you using a FBD Halloween digi. 

 

 Digital stamp: Boo Who? Owl

The kids and I were playing around with watercolor paints the other day, and they started flicking it on their paper making patterns. I decided that would make a really cool bg paper for my little Owl digital stamp that was designed in the Fall of 2011. It was fun flinging paint everywhere :))

 

My little owl is colored using prismacolor markers and sharpies. The papers are by Papertrey inc (white and black) and the grey is by The Paper Company. I used two different style nesties to cut out my images. 

Lables Four and Lacy circles. Some Twinery Twine and other trims including some pretty tulle finished off the card. OH and we cant forget the googly eyes! :) HEHEHE

For my cards I chose to go back to the theme of 'versatility' 

I have had fun making some of my Christmas themed cards, so I made another one using

Candy Corn Girl

 This is a very QAS (quick and simple) card - the paper was so busy, I did not want to fill it with embellies and other things - esp so early this morning. My brain would have gone into overload! 

here is how I created her bowl of cookies for Santa:

First I colored a strip of paper and made little chocolate chip dots. 

I hand cut little tear drop shapes but you could use a hole punch to create them as well. 

Next I cut a line along the bowl edge to slide my cookies inside :)

Bad photo - but you get the idea.
