Wow, my day started off somewhat upside down.

Yes, I was filling my cup up with coffee grounds! lol!!!

Quite fitting for today's post as it is all about COFFEE!

Here is a card I created and personalized for a wonderful man from our 

old dance studio, Mr Gary. He is so loving and giving and is always there to 

help the kids and do all he can for them. We will miss him.

Here is a little more information about this beautiful lady:

1)How and where did you hear about Fresh Brewed Designs?

I heard about Fresh Brewed through Sweet Sketch Wednesday where we were on the Design Team together for awhile.
You had me at Coffee!!

2)How long have you been paper crafting? 

I've been paper crafting since about 2001 or so.  I started out scrapbooking back then.  I switched to cardmaking a few years later, and started my blog in 2007.

3) Are there any tips you have learned along the way that you would like

to share with our readers?  

The only tip I can give is to check out YouTube Tutorials if you are stuck trying to do something and can't figure it out.  There are so many talented people on there.

4) What are your GO TO colors when creating your projects? 

I tend to lean towards many shades of green for some reason.  It's not my favorite color, but I do use it quite a bit to accent another color I'm working with.

5) What is your favorite card making technique? 

My favorite cardmaking technique of the last couple of months is edge distressing!  I don't think I've made a card without it in quite some time.

6) Tell us a little about yourself and what gets your creative mojo brewing

I find inspiration everywhere, and between traveling around blog-land, and Pinterest, and seeing all of the talent out there that's what gets my mojo going.  I've been crafting since I was 8, when my Grandma taught me how to crochet.  Not with yarn, but the tiny crochet thread.  She had me crocheting around hankies for her.  I still have the metal hooks she gave me, and I use them to create flowers for my cards.  I can't thank her enough for teaching me how important expressing myself creativity is good for the soul!

Happy Saturday!

It is raining here so that our beautiful spring flowers have plenty to drink.

It has been raining a few days now. 

I imagine they are no longer thirsty and it can stop raining soon...

Isn't Cierra beautiful?  I love her hair and her sweet necklace the most.

I colored her using colored pencils, she was cut out using the print and cut feature with my Cameo.  I'm so spoiled, I rarely fussy cut anything these days.

Pretty right?  I'm still not great with coloring hair but I'm working on it.

Love the garden of roses.

 Please, I beg you, watch this video in full. If this were the last post I ever shared that you would read, I will be satisfied. This is the message I want to share with you. This is the love I want to leave with you. This is the reason we are here.  To share about Him. To know Him. To worship Him. God is love. Jesus is alive. Praise His name forever!

In the middle of this video a man steps out to read.
I sit and listen to the words this man pours out of his soul as he reads his poem.
So touching and so moving and so true.
I am not good with words or  writing at all.
That was not my talent.
I can draw digis and things and have a lot of fun doing so. I know I am not
some magnificent artist, but God has given me the talent for a reason and I have met
so many wonderful people because of it.
In listening to the words of this poem I could not help but think of how he captured
everything I think when I stop and try to draw something to honor Him. Jesus Christ.
I will get out a pencil and paper and sit there. I will be in awe of His love, His grace,
His mercy, His majesty, His sacrifice ...
That, I can not capture on paper. I become overcome. Overwhelmed.
Oh to know Him and to love Him. Oh to be loved by Him!
So, no, I can not capture all of that in song, in art, in words...
but you can find it in a relationship with Him,

Saturday DT Feature Post: Edwina

Good Morning!

The birds are singing and the sun is out.

Yes, pollen is covering everything making it impossible to sit outside

or open windows... but it is finally here! SPRING! 

Edwina has created a few very happy and smile inducing projects for you today. 

She used the FBD Digital Stamp: Coffee Shop

If I owned a coffee shop, this is how I hope it would look. 

Homey, welcoming, soft, quaint, pretty, and filled with friends.  

I LOVE that Edwina used this image for a scrapbook layout page. 

I wish I were able to eventually meet all of my DT and blog friends for coffee / tea 

and be able to scrap about it. 

Sigh.

Next up Edwina created this DARLING card using the same image. 

I LOVE the way she layered the image and gave it a  3D effect.
