COFFEE and MONKEYS! Oh My!!!

Good Morning.

I have a card and little something extra to share with you today!

I don't know where I have found all of this time to create this week, 

but I did, and I am thankful because we all know how life gets and

how it could be a month before I post again. :/ But hopefully not.

I have enjoyed creating and have LOTS of images colored in and waiting to

be placed on their new card front 'home'. Until then, they are unhappy and homeless, 

and that just isn't good. That will have to change! :D

I used my Fresh Brewed Digital Stamp:

Girl on the Go

For this card I used all scrap papers (I am making that my mission -

to use more of my HUGE scraps in my HUGE scrap box :D

I colored the image using prismacolor and copic markers. 

The edge of the image was embossed using shabby green frantage.

Now for more fun!

My mother in law asked me to create a project for her.

She needed four little monkeys to hang on a tree for her 

church to use at Vacation Bible School this year. I admit, I was a little

intimidated. I am afraid of drawing monkeys for some reason. I was afraid

they wouldn't look like monkeys. 

I got over my fear and intimidation, sketched them out on notebook paper, 

was pretty satisfied, and then began the project. I have to finish them today 

(cut them out, laminate them and so on) 

I hope the church and the kids love them and that they make the kids smile.

Linda here saying "Happy Thursday!" Yes, I'm on track with the days, this having been a holiday weekend. I even have a card to share...can you tell I'm already dreaming about our beach vacation?! This is the newly released and adorable Beach Sweetie. I even found a summer themed paper pack that is almost all used up...can't say I do that much with my paper packs. But I definitely keep buying new ones!!!!

Good Morning!

I don't know about you, but sometimes I do forget how special I am.

I focus on the bad and the ick and the extra weight around my middle, and, 

I notice when I am walking my dog, or out in the grocery store, I hang my head when passing 

others. I am ashamed of how I look. No, I am not the 100 lb skinny minnie who modeled

and did things when I was 18 years old. I am a 35 year old mom of two children. 

I have come to realize that I am actually NOT doing what God wants me to do. 

He doesn't want me to hide. He want's me to shine. 

He created me (all of us) special and wonderfully and purposefully. 

He has a job for us to do RIGHT NOW and no matter what flaws we see in the mirror, 

HE doesn't! He sees the perfect woman He created for a perfect plan and purpose. 

We are called according to His purpose, in His timing, in His will.

He is in control and He knows what is best for us. 

Instead of hiding or hanging our heads in shame, we should be JOYFUL, 

HAPPY, BRIGHT AND SHINING Beacons drawing others in to see how 

wonderful HIS love is and can be. We are children of a KING!!!

So shake off those ugly feelings, get the words out of your head, 

know that God took great care in creating YOU and he has a plan for you.

Saturday DT Feature Post: Heather: to perk you up

Happy Saturday!

It is already a gorgeous day outside. The sun is shining,

birds are singing, the cool breeze is blowing, and God loves me. 

What could be better?

I am excited to be done with my housework for the day. 

I worked all week and am able to just relax some today. 

The kids and I will do some cooking, creating, and reading. YAY!

I created a fun little card for you using a faux tile (or brick? in my case) technique.

Saturday DT Post: Marji

Good Morning!

Welcome to Freshly Brewed Challenges.

It's a bright and sunny Saturday morning where I am. 

I will be out in the garden in just a few minutes, planing some

tomato and pepper plants. I actually planted my first flower garden this week. 

It is approx 20 ' x 3' in size locaged in front of my deck. 

I am really going to enjoy the flowers and

birds and all of the beautiful things God created just for us to enjoy. 

I love little God smiles like that, don't you? 

Speaking of planting and gardening, Marji has a treat just for you!

Summertime and the Livin' is Easy: Time to Check Out the Latest New Releases

Hello! I am so glad you found time in your day to spend some of it with little ole me! If you happened to miss it, on Monday, May 12th, there was a blog hop to release all the new images out this month. In case you didn't get a chance to participate, I wanted to make sure that you got the opportunity to at least check out all the great new images for sale.

Put away the books, the kids are almost finished school!
The weather may be warm but we'll be sure to play it cool!!!

The resort we'll be staying at, is lush and pristine.

Grandma will look after the kids while we are off and having some fun!
But don't feel too sorry for her, she is perfectly happy just soaking up that sun!

Think of how many treasures he'll uncover throughout each day!


While Celia will be occupied with scoops of sweet ice cream dripping on her knee,
and feeling the sand sift through her toes while dipping her feet in the salty sea!


Yes, rest and relaxation, will be the orders for each day!
It is high time this summer vacation get underway!

Good Morning!

Take a deep breath... Saturday has arrived.

If you are like me, you still have a thousand things to do, 

but something about the weekend makes them a little more approachable. 

Perhaps because, for me, there is no dance classes or any 'required' tasks for today. 

Regardless, I am very happy that I am home today and am able

to create something for the moms at church, make something for my mom, make my dad

a few chocolate pies for his birthday and more fun stuff like that.

Happy Tuesday!

Yes, we all made it past the, sometimes dreaded, Monday {Monster}.

HEHEHE

We survived and will make it through another work / school week. 

I, for one, am so excited that it is almost summer break. 

The kids (and I) really need a break. 

Another thing I am looking forward to is my little girl's move to a new dance studio.

She has been taking a few private classes there and they decided to allow her 

to do a solo in their spring recital. I am overjoyed that this move is going so positively and so smoothly.

This one can be used for any occasion. No layers on this card and I colored with Tombow Markers. Why Tombow??? Because the Copic markers bleed through my cardstock...and I don't like to see that on the inside of my cards.
