Special Brew of the Month: October

Good Morning! It is October 1st.. and it is the FIRST MONDAY OF THE MONTH!

That means we have something special to share with you!

Isn't that the most adorable little place setting EVER!?!

I don't know about you, but I LOVE BREAKFAST FOODS!!!

I am from the south so bacon, biscuits and lots of (bacon)gravy, sausage,

pancakes with butter and syrup, butter and jelly biscuits, hot blueberry muffins and butter, fresh cinnamon rolls... coffee.... of course! I just LOVE THEM ALL! but never get to eat them. My kids hate breakfast. They would rather have steak and potatoes :) hehehe!!!

SO I created these two little breakfast loving kiddos to make up for it.

Fresh Brewed Designs Hop Day 2

WOW!! Our first hop day was just AMAZING!

I was so excited to hop and see all of the fabulous creations myself

(the team keep their cards a secret from me until hop day so I am surprised too ;)

Today I am sharing a card I created using the NEW released Spa Girl

*renamed from Some Things are Better Rich*

In resizing her, I realize now that I did not do such a fantastic job of it

She is really not THAT much smaller than the original size...

so I am going to focus more on versatility today rather than size.

Here we go!

Spa Girl ORIGINAL SIZE

was fussy cut and paper pieced on this card.

I gently placed her on top of a SWEETHEART CUPCAKE DIGI from the

FBD shop, printed and cut out in two different sizes.

Spa Girl NEW SMALLER SIZE

This card is the same layout as the first,

but you can see that she is a tad smaller here

Here they are side by side.

and here is a not so hot pic of them overlapped before

creating the cards with them ..

....or it is OFF WITH YOUR HEADS!

The kids watched Alice in Wonderland yesterday.

I heard bits and pieces of it while I cooked dinner and cleaned house. I am not much of one to really love the movie stylings of that of Tim Burton... however I find myself sucked into that movie when it comes on. I still laugh when the Queen thinks that Alice's name is Um and when the White Queen gags when she is getting the dragons blood. I think that Anne Hathaway is such a sweetie.

Anywho - Before the movie even came on yesterday I was inspired to create a 'Queen' themed project for you! *well, for me, it is on my coffee / buffet table in my kitchen * wink*

*you may remember her being a Pinning Queen, well, she is still,

but some days she prefers her lattes... like today.

I created this project using Papertrey Inc Cardstock, Making Memories 5th Ave Paper Pack,
My Paper Studio paper flower, rhinestone button, ribbon sold by the yard,
a computer generated sentiment, copic spica glitter pens and copic markers.

Yes, it is good to be Queen!

Hey Baby!

Good Morning!

Things have been super busy this weekend here at my house.

My husband has been working a lot due to the bike rallies in town and the kids and I have been chilling.

Today we are making pulled pork BBQ, slaw, baked beans, fresh corn and homemade chocolate chip cookies. YUM!!!

I had planned to have a card to share with you today, but did not get it completed yet. You CAN see the image I colored though *grin* along with my card from this weeks FRAME IT challenge.

SuMmErTiMe!!!

It is just around the corner!

Sand, sun, waves crashing on the shore, the smell of sunscreen in the air...

sigh

Summertime.

Who doesn't love summer!?!

Our Beach Bums rubber stamp is so sassy and fun.

I wish I were able to wear a itty bitty bikini again... but I can't so I will live vicariously though this stamped image and be happy :D. I found this PERFECT paper at an online shop that was closing down and was so excited to get to use it. It is gorgeous IRL. Some of the words are coated in clear glitter sparkles.

Anyway - I thought that you could use a little escape today and dream of lazy beach days.

Don't forget our rubber release hop for May starts TOMORROW!

we will be hopping all weekend - so you have plenty of time to party with us!!!
