Good Saturday Morning. 

I am so excited to be able to sit and relax with my family today. 

My hunny is home, the kids are both healthy and happy, and the weather is lovely.

All of those things added together equal a perfect kind of day. 

Another special thing about today is that I get to share one of our

DT members gorgeous creations.

Patti is continuing on with the love theme. 

She used the Fresh Brewed Rubber Stamp: LOVE BIRD OWLS

 Patti stated on her blog that she needed an anniversary card - and this stamp was exactly what she needed to say what was needed to say. 

I think it turned out super cute. Love all of that texture!!!

I am here with a really fun post.

Monica at TaylorMade4U Cards is our first guest designer for 2014!

Get to know more about Monica and

her crafting style by reading the questionnaire below. 

1) How and where did you hear about Fresh Brewed Designs?

I heard about FBD from one of your DT blog. She coordinates for another digi designer and I started following her.

2) How long have you been paper crafting? 

I have been paper crafting for about 17 years. I started scrapbooking when my son was born. My Mother in Law was into card making so I thought I would give it a try and got hooked. That was about 3 1/2 years ago.

3) Are there any tips you have leaned along the way that you would like to share with our readers? 

Maybe not so much a tip as advice. Don’t be afraid to try new techniques or tools. I have found with practice, we eventually master these new sometimes intimidating techniques. And we usually have a lot of fun along the way. I was not into digital images until about 6 months ago and felt that I would never be able to color images well enough. But with practice, I think I have really come a long way from my very first attempt.

4) What are your  GO TO colors when creating your projects?

My favorite style is the vintage/grunge, so I tend to lean towards the browns and earth tones.

5) What is your favorite card making technique?

Distressing by far is my favorite. I like to grunge up my designs. You will see this a lot in my cards.

6) Tell us a little about yourself and what gets your creative mojo brewing.

Hmm, that is a tough one. I usually have an idea where I am going with a project when I sit down to design, but many times go down a completely different path. I have compared my card making to a puzzle, You just keep trying different pieces until you get the finished picture. Not knowing exactly how the finished project is going to look inspires me to create. Of course if I truly am at a stand still , other designers finished projects often get me moving in the right direction.

Fussy and Fancy DT Feature + lots of chit chat

Hello Fresh Brewed Fans.

I am so crazy right now, I don't know if I am coming or going!

I am sure that is how we are all doing right now. I had this perfectly calm, 

quiet, peaceful Christmas season planned out in my head. We were going to be

watching Christmas movies, baking cookies and doing all of those fun things. 

We HAVE but have also done more running around than I imagined. 

I am sure it is less than many, but over the last weeks time has just flown by!

I can not believe Christmas is just a week away! WOW!

The kids are super excited... but  I am a little sad. I wish we had 

a few more weeks to just sit and enjoy it. All of the little things like the lights twinkling on the tree,

the kids eyes filled with excitement, joy, and anticipation. 

We love driving around looking at houses decorated in beautiful lights while sipping on

hot cocoa (coffee for me ;). It just seems that it has gone by too fast this year.

We HAVE been able to purchase gifts for others in need. That was a lot of fun. 

We deliver gifts to the nursing home on Friday afternoon, my nephews birthday party is Friday evening,

and we are having a family Christmas party at my home on Saturday night. 

It is so much fun! My brother, his GF, my sister and her family, and my mom and dad come over. 

We eat, laugh, eat more, and play a fun game. We all draw names on Thanksgiving. 

We take the name of the person we get and purchase a cheap or homemade gag gift. 

It is so fun! I do have to let you in on a secret though. Every year I always find out who half of

the people have :D. I help my kids, my husband.. then this year my brother, his girlfriend and my sister

have asked for help! HAHAHAH!!! I am going to suggest we do the Chinese acution type of 

game for next year :D  I can't wait to see everyone's faces when they open their gifts though :D

Ok, Ok, I am done  running my mouth. I am really hear to share a
