Good Morning and welcome back to another challenge at FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGES!

I can't believe that August is drawing near to its end. Next Monday will be our Special Brew of the Month, Wednesday will be a new DIGI release and a new month long prize challenge and our rubber release hop is just around the corner! Lots of fun things to get excited about and to look forward to here at Fresh Brewed Designs!!!

Today I have a very simple card to share with you. 

Yesterday we posted our weekly challenge: Under The Sea

This card was created using the digi: Cordelia Waits

I was looking through my digis with my little girl and she wanted to color them all! 

So we printed as many as she wanted and started coloring. 

I added lots of shimmer with Inspirations Paint and glossy accents. 

I love purple and yellow together. I think they just have so much energy 

and are just give a very happy vibe (so to speak)  when paired together.

This cards works for both that challenge and our MONTH LONG PRIZE CHALLENGE: Summertime

4-How long have you been stamping?

I've only been stamping a couple years...maybe three. I got into scrapbooking first and it kind of evolved from there. I was so terrified of cards at first but over the years, they've become much easier!

5-What is your favorite coloring medium?

 I love using Prisma pencils, but since my arthritis is getting worse, I find I can't use them as much. So, I am discovering the wonderful world of markers! So far I really like the Prisma markers & am using them lately.

6-What are five craft items you can’t live without?

 Oh this is a hard one...really hard! I'm also kind of a practical gal so some of these may seem kind of obvious. :0) I am definitely a hoarder of many things so its hard to narrow it down, but here goes nothing! I would have to say paper cutter/scissors, my beloved paper stash, punches, Tim Holtz distress ink in walnut stain, and my Glue Glider Pro!

Now I am not sure if Crystal knows this or not... but she used one of my ALL TIME Favorite color combinations and one of my favorite stamps that I did not get the chance to use very much this summer!

I have to admit, it still have been mermaid weather here. The days are still hot well into the high 80s and into the 90s. Our mermaids are still happy and playful here.

Good Morning!
I am stopping by today to share a card I created using
Fresh Brewed Designs Rubber Stamp: Cordelia in Sand

There is a lot of dimension on this card. The blue card stock is attached to the base with a thin layer of foam mount. The die cut that Cordelia is sitting on is mounted with a thicker foam mount square. I layered the pink waves and ribbon over the die cut rather than under as I had originally planned.

Good Morning!

I have ANOTHER reminder post for you today ~ but this one is a little extra special! I have another featured designer to share with you today. Her name is Vanessa. She is so super sweet and mega talented! She won the prize package in the FBD new stamp release blog hop earlier this month and has created a few BEAUTIFUL cards using Cordelia in the Sand mixed with darling A.Muse Studio stamps.

LOOK at those adorable crabs, waves and the seashells! Her wavy hair is crimped and popped out to add more dimension! CUTENESS!!!

sigh* don't you just love this?!?! the netting, the seashells, the paper piecing, the sign.... I love it all!!! Now, when do I get a beach day? lol!!!

Good Morning! I am sitting here sipping my coffee looking out the window hoping for a not too hot but dry and nice day. Is that asking too much ;)?? My son has a make up tee ball game this morning so we will be moving and grooving early this Saturday.

My favorite color is purple but I am always challenged when I try to use it on a card. Not sure why. That is another reason I chose the purple and green inspiration photo for Freshly Brewed Challenges this week. Both of these cards go for the challenge ~ but the cutie pie also works for the MONTH LONG PRIZE CHALLENGE: Beach / Summer theme! You CAN combine other FBD challenges with the prize challenge, so what are you waiting for???

If you have FBD images ~ why not use them. There are bonuses for you if you do. We spot something we LOVE and just have to share, boom, you are a featured card on the blog and facebook. Post in the challenges section and your card gets counted twice! AND there is a special place in the sidebar for you to link all of your FBD creations to. It is called "Calling All Cardmakers".
