Realignment

the spying eyes of sunrise find
me stumbling bumbling to the kitchen blind
coherent thought is undermined
sleep slugs, grey matter intertwined
lurch on undaunted, the freezer is mined
of roasted nirvana for electric grind
scoop and measure the unrefined
then water, heat and bean combined
hiss and gurgleshout most unkind
but aroma kisses with peace of mind
before first sip, much was maligned
but after, my outlook is realigned

HEHEHE!!! OK, this is sooo me!!! I get up with one eye open one eye squinty and go straight to my coffee pot!
I do hope this poem made you smile a little. I did a google search and stumbled across this and just wanted to share.

I made this card for my sister's birthday. She is an amazing crafter and knitter... I am amazed when I see the things she does with those clanking needles and yarn! WOW!!! I never was able to do that stuff! Do you remember on the old batman shows how they would have a big BAM on the screen when they would get hit. That is where the PURL sentiment comes into play. She got a kick out if it I think ;). This image was created just for her and is available upon request.. but I did create another image similar and her name is Super Super Girl. She and the little extras you see on this card are now available in the shop.

I created a few seasonal coloring pages for my kids and thought you could use one for your kids on a rainy summer day to give them something to do. My kids actually sat for almost an hour coloring this morning :D EEeee! :) lol!

WOW!!! I think many of you will agree that this summer is flying by. My daughter has started Summer Dance Intensive at a new dance school and is having a blast ... but that means I am getting back in the swing of leaving the house during the week :/ lol! School is just around the corner and busy days are coming again.Homeschool, cooking, cleaning, dance, whatever our son chooses to do this year as his extracurricular activity... sigh ... Summer does not seem anywhere near as long as it was when I was young. That all being said... Christmas is JUST around the corner! WEll, not really, but it is creeping up on us. I have always been fascinated by Christmas in July themes. Our DT member Jenn reminded me of this when I was stumped for challenges. I was so excited about it. It has been so hot here, this was like my little escape from the melt you when you step out the door heat. I hope you will enjoy creating a cool card as well.

We had such an amazing turnout for last weeks challenge! I was gone all weekend and when I got home to see all of the amazing cards entered, I smiled from ear to ear. For a few weeks now I have been meaning to feature this darling little card. I had it ready to go for this Saturday, but as many of you know, I was not home and nowhere near a computer... so when I got home and saw it was not posted... I was a little upset (mostly at myself because this was the 2nd time I told this sweet lady that her card would be featured!) It was saved, not published, and to my blog not this one... sooo... here ya go...

Sarah at Aunt Bee's Pickles (i love that name!! :D) created this sweetie of a card for a previous challenge and I fell in love. The coloring and layering are just phenomenal. My most favorite thing is the pop of blue she added to the Ice Cream cup :) isn't it just darling?!?!

And I say nothing goes better with fireworks than an ice cream sundae!!! YUMMM! :)
