Make Something Pretty - and Share!

OK ... SOOooOOooooo
I am back today with a tutorial
on how to make the flower you saw on
<<<< this card HERE

As you can see above, I stayed with the whole Paris / Eiffel Tower theme with this card. I had the card and image ready and thought the flower would be pretty with her too :D I almost took some watered down food coloring and made it pink... but ran out of time.. so here ya go! Coffee Stained and shabby chic.

I created this card using the Eat Sleep Stamp Sketch >> HERE << where my card was featured last week. Tracy suggested I make a tutorial and I did not want to let her down, so you get a video tutorial (THAT IS TERRIBLE! just sayin' HA!) and a picture tutorial because the vid is terrible (just sayin') :D

The image is one of the FBD New released digis called Gianna Dreams of  Paris (yes, in the vid I forgot the name of the image ... der! and I made terrible faces ... lol) ANYWAY - I had a lot of fun making this card and hope that you will try to make one of these flowers as well. If you do, please come back and share it with me! I would love to see it!!! (PROOF MY TUT WORKED YOU SEE ;)! HA!)

THANK YOU for the sweet comments and inspiration Tracy!
you are da bomb ;)
OK, I will be hiding in my craft room with the lights off while you watch the video :D hehehe!!!

LOTS of HUGS and SMILES!

  2. Oh Heather, you did a wonderful job! I was just smiling through this whole thing! You have the cutest accent ever! Yay! to Tracy for talking you into doing this. And it is not terrible, don't say that. True crafters don't have manicured hands, they have ink stained, beautiful, artistic hands! Well mine usually have ink stains anyway ;) I am a messy stamper! Hugs and smiles coming your way from Missouri!

  6. HEHEHE MY lil man is actually saying 'what up' .. I asked him later that night where in the world he heard that. He responded "off that Jackie Chan movie - The Spy Next Door" My husband and I burst out laughing. we watched that movie weeks ago and that was the first time he ever quoted or said that. If you watch it there is a part in the movie where the russian boy is trying to talk to the younger girl because he is undercover and just trying to get to J. Chan. He does some sort of weird rap or something that was hilarious. I think that is where he got it. At least he was quoting one of my favorite parts :D hehehe

Thank you all for the sweet compliments! I am so glad you liked the video - lol - as sad as it is :D I do hope you understood or at least can follow the pic tutorial and make one of these fun flowers :D

    BIG HUGS

  7. Great job on the tutorial Heather. Love seeing your kids! Your son came across as quite the camera 'ham'. Going to have to get him in drama classes! Your daughter is beautiful. Love to see her dance her way across the kitchen.
I hope that you continue to do the video tutorials.

This was uber cool, Heather, and I really hope you do more tuts! If you're feeling shy, just record them & email them to me. ;)
I am seriously going to try this technique. Ya know...as soon as I get my area clean enough to acutally work in. LOL
Do you have a magic coffee-dying formula, or can I just use my post brew grounds?
BTW, your new cards are GORGEOUS! I'm off to do some FBD shopping! :D
