Christmas is drawing nearer and nearer!

I, for one, am wondering where all of the time went!

I haven't gotten the chance to go shopping or enjoy baking or

anything yet. We have been a bit TOO busy this year.

But the one thing that matters most and the one thing that we

have not been too busy to reflect on is the reason we celebrate. 

Not for the shopping, gift giving, baking, parties, or anything else.

But to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 

He is the reason for the season!

Now on to share a few fabulous creations that our dear

DT member Edwina created for us this week. 

)My children just last week were in their dance schools yearly 

performance of the Nutcracker Ballet, so this really made me smile.)

Java Happy Monday!

Good Morning!
It is Monday ... and finally started off feeling enough like spring here to open the windows ((58 degrees)).
((It was almost 90 degrees here by lunch time yesterday!))

I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend and are ready to start the week ahead with a smile and of course your secret weapon....  coffee :). hahahah!!!

I found this really fun challenge at Paper craft Planet for a 3d treat dispenser box card. SO FUN! yet so confusing! :) I loved it enough to make two though. If you want to see them both, pop in over to my blog and see them HERE

 

Now back to the theme of my title for this post ... and how it came to be.  While on the computer yesterday morning I needed a java update and while I sat there watching the little green line feel and I become inpatient, the thought just came to me! HAHAHA!!!

 ((notice the first were taken when a cloud passed by..... these last when the sun came out. the first are more true to the real color ;) ))

TAG YOU'RE IT!

Hi everyone! 

If you did not stop by yesterday to see Sheryl's awesome video tutorial of how to make this CUTE little gift box, please go >>here<< to watch it. I thought this project was SOOO CUTE! I have been working on an order of a set of cards and tags for a little girl my daughter goes to dance with (that was a mouth full).
When I saw this little box, I thought, That would be PERFECT to hold these little tags!!! I edited her template a little bit and created this sweet little box to display and show off the set.

I created these tags with Twinery Twine in Flax and the Fresh Brewed Designs digital stamp: Little Gianna.

She was colored up with prismacolor markers, cut out with Spellbinders Labels Nineteen and Mega Ovals LG. The box was decorated with prima flowers and diamond stickles.

Now, if you watch her video you will see how she created hers with a SWEET pocket on the back and she attached her notecard to the front (ADORABLE!!!!) and, as I said earlier in the post,  I changed it up a bit for my needs ... sooo here is what I did.

I made the template a bit longer. I made the tab that folds inside one inch longer so it would stay in behind the tags after I Cut the hole in the top. Here are the measurements I and how I changed it a little bit.

Then  I used the same diecuts I used for the tags to create the holes / windows on the box

 And here she is - Little Gianna. Doesn't she make for a sweet little gift tag?!?!

Oh My Cutie Pie!!!

Hello, my lovely and crafty friends!

I made a really cute little box

that I want to share with all of you!

Or if you like, it can be a purse!

It's really roomy inside!

It measures 4 1/2" x 4" and it's 3/4" wide

Here is a picture showing it holding 

six lip balms!

To make the box I started with a piece of 

pink cardstock  that measures

6" x 10 3/4"

I scored it at 

1 1/4" - 2" - 6" - 6 3/4"

from the top to the bottom

Then I turned it 

and scored it at

3/4" - 5 1/4" 

from the top to the bottom

Then I cut out the first two squares

on both the left and the right side.

I cut slits up the sides of both middle squares

as you can see in the picture above.

Fold on all of the creases and use sticky tape to 

make your box.

Then the fun part is decorating it!

I used Fresh Brewed Designs Cutie Pie in Clouds rubber stamp!
