Under the Mistletoe

Alright, a show of hands for those who took advantage of the AWESOME Cyber Monday sale yesterday at Fresh Brewed Designs. I bought some rubbah and now can't wait for it to arrive!!! I like to treat myself to some Christmas treats...all for me!!! Another treat are all the new digis you can find at the Fresh Brewed store HERE. That's where this fun image, Kiss Me Santa Baby can be found. It's fun to resize digis as well as flip them to face the other direction, which is exactly what I did here. Let me explain how:

First of all, I use Microsoft Word. I haven't mastered Photo Shop yet, so I can't help there. Also, I am not very computer savvy, so the terms I use aren't technically correct, so bear with me. Start off by importing your image into Word and size it to your preference. With the image still "highlighted" (outlined by the blue lines), click FORMAT on the task bar at the top. Look almost all the way over to the right and you will see ROTATE. Clicking it will bring a drop down menu with an option to FLIP HORIZONTAL. Click on it and your image will magically be facing the other direction. Now keep in mind, this will not work if your image contains words, they will end up backwards...ask me how I know this!!!!!!

Hello everyone!

I know most of us are getting ready for our Thanksgiving dinner - as well as planning out our maps for the black Friday sales. I can honestly say I have never gone black Friday shopping, but admire those of you who can get up crazy early, stand in line and wait for hours and all that other stuff. I know if it were me I would have to take a huge coffee carafe to keep me company... and I guess a catheter, because I could not get out of line... nope, that does not sound like fun to me !!! ha!

Gobble Gobble - Wobble Wobble

The Turkey Wobble!

I recently heard on our local christian radio station (well, not really local, it is broadcast all over - KLove- you can even listen online!!!) Anyway - they were talking about how a company is talking about adding caffeine to beef jerkey. SO when I was creating this set of cards, of course my thought was

THEY WILL PUT CAFFEINE IN ANYTHING! 

hahahahahah

(yes, my farmer is nice and waits until they have no clue!) 

OK I will make myself sick thinking about it and not be able to eat any .. so on with the post!

I created a simple set of Tom Turkey cards to mail out. We all know that embellies and buttons get ripped up in the mail unless we take extra precautions. My precaution for these was not to have any :D 

I thought they were too plain and simple, but my DT Sheryl assured me that they were not... so ... 

But then if you go over to Sheryl's blog you will see some that are not so plain and simple

Just plain -flat out- simply gorgeous!

WOW!!! I love how she uses her embellies.. and how she finds such pretty and unusual things to add to her card. She really knows her stuff!!!

Friday caffeine fix

Friday Warning!!! Lots of pictures ahead!  LOL

Have you seen the Oh so CUTE coffee shop set that Heather posted in the shop the beginning of this week!?  It really rocks, and think of all the fun things that can be done with the set or each piece individually!   Well, I did.  I made my own coffee shop with her images for as the objects in the front window.

I really love the chocolate covered spoons and the coffee bean bag!

So, then I got to thinking about the cakes that Heather made and released a couple of weeks ago. Take those and a couple of her cupcakes, naturally that meant that I had to make a bake shop!

Then I got to thinking of all the images that Heather has created (and boy are there a lot of them!).

So many of them have baked goods (I don't have any of the images with pies!) and others with coffee cups and tea cups.  I decided to used the crop tool and take the bits and pieces that I wanted and make yet one more little shop!

LOL, even the shop name "latte Wonderland" is piece off of 2 of Heather's sentiments!

Super Sweet Holidays

OK, I will admit it, one of my most favorite things about the holidays is the FOOD!

I LOVE food!!! I love creamy mac and cheese, gravy, stuffing... I love casserole... and I LOVE LOVE LOVE SWEETS!!! Oh goodness, I think I gained 10 pounds just sitting here thinking about it!!!

Today I wanted to share a card with you that I created using a newly released digi called

 Girly Cake

This girly cake is not so girly for this card. I decided for this Christmas, Santa 

does not need cookies, he needs an AWESOME CAKE!!! I think I will leave one of these for Santa this year :D hehehe!!! (then my hubby and I would probably look more like Santa ;) but it would be worth it!)
