This one can be used for any occasion. No layers on this card and I colored with Tombow Markers. Why Tombow??? Because the Copic markers bleed through my cardstock...and I don't like to see that on the inside of my cards.

Crazy Hair!

I don't know about you, but sometimes I like to go all crazy with my images. 

Fun prints, bold colors, and crazy colored hair. 

Designed To Color gave a challenge to us on facebook this past week to share cards

using images with 'different' colored hair. 

I had so much fun creating for it. It really brought out that fun, funky side of me

that I had been missing. That mojo just has been sucked away from me with all of the 

things going on lately (God is in control, but I still was not feeling what I was creating, ya know?)

ANYWAY ~ I did get to create some FUN and FUNKY cards  and am going to share them with you now.

Beach Bums + fake washi tape

Good...er ...  afternoon.

It has been rainy and messy the past few days.. which is fine. 

We need the rain and I really wanted an excuse to stay home today. 

I have had a super busy weekend leaving me little time to create. 

That is why you are getting this post SUPER LATE and I hope you will forgive me for that. 

This card features the Fresh Brewed Designs rubber stamp: Beach Bums. 

She is sassy and fun and loves summertime (when it is not raining that is :) 

I have been seeing the washi tape (like a printed masking tape)  on so many projects as well as in some really fun packages my friend has sent me recently. I have not been able to purchase any of my own, so I looked up tutorials. People have used various things from paper to tissue paper for theirs. I like the see through quality the washi tape has... so the paper is too thick for me.. and I did not have any tissue paper that was thin .... so I found the next best thing! A pack of printed napkins from my daughters birthday part that had never been opened. I thought the dots resembled bubbles well enough.

 Here is what I did to create my washi tape:

First, since this napkin was two ply, I  removed the white napkin underneath

Next I laid the napkin flat, print side down. I took strips of double sided tape, 

cut them to the length I wanted, and laid them carefully over the print I desired my tape to be. 

After that I carefully cut around the tape with my fussy cutting scissors and voila!

 My own (fake) washi tape.

The real stuff is much prettier, no doubt, but this will do in a pinch! :) 

I want remind you know that we are having a DIGI RELEASE THIS WEDNESDAY!

Hot Stuff!!!

Here is a card I created using the FBD stamp: Beach Bums. Isn't she just too fun?!?! I wanted to keep up with the fun patriotic theme since we are drawing nearer to Independence Day. That also means we are slap dab in the middle of summer. Are you loving it? I have yet to get to enjoy much of mine yet, but I will,  by George,  before August hits spned a few days on and enjoy the beauty of the beach. I will I tell ya! :))

 I can not believe it is almost July! BUT that also means A LOT of FUN things are getting ready to happen here at FBD!!! MONDAY will be our SPECIAL BREW OF THE MONTH! Wednesday is our NEW Month long prize challenge AND our NEW digital stamp release. Oh and speaking of releases, we have an AWESOME release planned for July! You will not want to miss it. I am super excited about this one. All I can tell you is that it is going to be HOT in more ways than one :D and I am so excited to share it with you.

Who doesn't love summer!?!

Our Beach Bums rubber stamp is so sassy and fun. 

I wish I were able to wear a itty bitty bikini again... but I can't so I will live vicariously though this stamped image and be happy :D. I found this PERFECT paper at an online shop that was closing down and was so excited to get to use it. It is gorgeous IRL. Some of the words are coated in clear glitter sparkles. 

Anyway - I thought that you could use a little escape today and dream of lazy beach days. 

Don't forget our rubber release hop for May starts TOMORROW!

can you believe it is already {almost} 2012?!?!

I can't! 

Wow how this year has flown by!

This is my New Year's themed card. I received the clock chipboard embellies (by making memories) from my mom. I could not find one in the pack that was pointing close to midnight, so let's just say she is getting her party started early! hahah!and she has coffee, of course! So she will be up all night, no problem! ;)

Fun in the Sun or Snow?

We have been talking about weather here at FBD, so I thought I would continue with the theme.
Some of us are experiencing warmer weather than usual for Christmas time, and some of us are getting snow already. This post is for all of you

First off, Vanessa captured the best part of the wintery cold with this DARLING little snow globe using the digital stamp: We Can Build a Snowman

What a fun and adorable idea! As adults we think of the icky parts of snow.. like the not being able to go anywhere, power outage possibilities, cold icky wet, shoveling and all of the other stuff that comes with it. Kids.. well, kids see it as magic. The beautiful sparkly white blanket that covers the ground. So pretty you don't want to walk through it. They see snowmen, angels, dancing snow fairies falling to the ground, sledding ... all of the magic that comes with it.

Now, where I am, it has been just the opposite. My kids would LOVE to see snow right now, however, the closest thing they will see to a snowman is.. a sandman!

This card was created using the Fresh Brewed Designs rubber stamps: Beach Bums and Palm Tree
I masked our lovely lady off, stamped the tree behind her and hand drew the rest of the sand / ocean scene. It may not be bikini weather, but it is pretty darn close!

So, whatever weather you are having wherever you are, enjoy it to the best of your ability and have a beautiful Christmas with your family and friends.
